Het gemeenschappelijke thema van deze 15e ICE conferentie is “Collaborative Innovation: Emerging Technologies, Environments and Communities”. De wereld van innovatie en in het bijzonder de omarming van de wereld van open innovatie via Living Labs. De directe link naar de conferentie is hier. De conferentie is ook een samenwerking met IEEE Technology Management Council, met ENoLL – European Network of Living Labs, Dutch Living Labs, IMS – Intelligent Manufacturing Systems en de samenwerkende internationale federaties IFIP/IFAC voor Enterprise Interoperability. De conferentie is ook vooral een ontmoetingsplaats die de uitwisseling van ideeën, kennis en ervaring tussen de deelnemers wil bevorderen. De deelnemers komen uit zo’n 30 landen, uit business/industrie en wetenschap.
De driedaagse conferentie omvat een 48-tal paper presentaties en een 20-tal workshops rond thema’s zoals Methods and Tools for Innovation management, Living Labs, Collaborative Environments and Systems, Networked Organisations , Advances in Concurrent Engineering, Satelliet Navigation, Enterprise Interoperability, Digital Factory en meer. Evenzo zijn bezoeken aan Space Expo en de Concurrent Design Facilities van ESA-Estec en Living Labs Leiden onderdeel van het aangeboden programma. Er zullen diverse keynotes zijn van onder andere:

In 2009 International Telework Academy arranges the annual event – ITA2009 – in Pori, Finland. The goal of ITA2009 is to create a platform for sharing ideas and interacting among academic researchers and business practitioners within the field of telework. There is a broad range of questions and issues around organizational forms, technology and work which call for discussion and innovative solutions. The fact that work has in many cases become fragmented is more than technology, it challenges organizations and individuals to find ways to master the new environment.
